The NJGT Junior Tour is a grass roots development Not-For-Profit golf tour available to junior golfers aged 10 through 19. Tour members enjoy events from early April through the summer and early fall, vying for weekly single day stroke play events, with 2 day events, and team challenge events against other regional tours or junior golf programs.
This tour is dedicated to offering junior golfers opportunities to learn and further develop their skills in a tournament circuit that blends competition and fun. “Our role is to teach the rules and etiquette of competitive golf, while providing our junior competitive players with the best possible competitive golf environment, supported by Golf Ontario certified rules officials and volunteers.”
Players are given the opportunity to develop their skills on a tournament circuit while making new friends and having fun. Our junior golfers tackle some great golf courses from Barrie to Sudbury, North Bay and Blind River, and are exposed to all different types and levels of facilities. This Regional tour is centered in Sudbury and extends to residents from Barrie to the Sault, Timmins to North Bay and everywhere in between. Players must be 19 years and under as of the tournament date to be eligible to compete. New for this year is a U 13 Youngster Series of 3 Events where a Caddie is permitted to assist with club selection and carry or pull the equipment. The age divisions are as follows: Co – Ed Minor Bantam (U13); Bantam Boys (U15), Boys U17 & Junior Boys (19 &U); Bantam Girls (U15); Girls (19 & U).
